About the Event

CASA of the Lincoln Trail has partnered with the Bardstown Police Department to provide our volunteers with Drug Education Training. This training will be an opportunity to become more knowledgeable on the physiological and psychological effects of addiction, how drugs affect someone’s ability to care for children, the community impact of substance abuse, and so much more. According to Norton Children's Hospital, nearly 40% of caregivers involved with CPS in Kentucky have a substance use disorder, compared to the National average of about 25%.

BPD’s Training Sergeant and Social Worker will be facilitating this training. You may even get to see their K9, Ellie! This toolbox has been highly requested by many volunteers and we are excited to see everyone there.
