We’re offering a three‑part refresher series designed to support experienced CASA volunteers and strengthen core advocacy skills. Each session is one hour, hybrid, and can be attended on its own.
SESSION 1 — Advocacy & Professional Collaboration
Date: October 15, 2026 at 5:30 PM Strengthen communication with DCBS, GALs, foster parents, therapists, and schools. We’ll revisit CASA’s role and boundaries, share practical communication strategies, and work through real‑world scenarios volunteers face in the field.
SESSION 2 — Court Reports & Courtroom Advocacy
Date: January 28, 2027 at 5:30 PM A refresher on writing clear, objective court reports and advocating effectively in hearings. We’ll review the court process, discuss court decorum, practice improving report excerpts, and explore what judges look for in CASA reports.
